Fit-outs – Punchbowl Boys High School

Punchbowl Boys High School is a small comprehensive high school. The main aim of the school is the achievement of academic, creative, and sporting excellence. The school focuses on boys’ education, welfare and runs an intensive literacy program.

UBW was engaged to work on the computer lab fit-out and the Barber Shop ‘A Cut above the Rest’, creating a space for the students to thrive in.

Computer Lab Fit-out – the scope of works consisted of the removal and disposal of all existing classroom furniture, existing carpet, underlay and vinyl floor tiles beneath. UBW replaced all existing ceilings lights with new LED panel ceiling lights and ceiling fans with timer controllers, supplied and installed all new ducted skirting to the room perimeter, all new data and power cabling, new data racks and new GPO’s. Supplied and laid new acoustic carpet tiles including Masonite substrate. Prepared and painted ceilings, walls all timberwork including skirtings, windows doors, and jambs.

Barber Shop Fit-out – the scope of works consisted of constructing floor to ceiling steel stud and track wall lined with plywood and fibre cement, new suspended metal ceiling lined with Colourbond mini-orb corrugated metal sheets, (it is easy to maintain, long lasting, lightweight and extremely durable, providing resistance to paint chipping, flaking and blistering) ran cabling and installed new LED panel ceiling lights, pendant lights, GPO’s and cutting station LED lights, new wash sink, cabinet and flick mixer, cutting stations, new black satin finish aluminium skirting to the barber shop walls, manufactured and installed new black satin finish aluminium sliding door and track with chrome handle and laminated glass panel. Prepared and painted all walls, timberwork, and doors.
