Heritage Works – Australia Post Office, Balmain

In 2022, UBW had the opportunity to give Australia Post Office in Balmain a facelift. Designed and built in 1888 by the Colonial Architect James Barnet with his distinctive example of Victorian Italianate style such as the Universityof Sydney, Quadrangle and Australia Post Office, it was time to give this iconic building the UBW touch.

With approx. 500sqm of internal space to work with, we rejuvenated the walls and ceilings and reconstructed the external cables to accommodate the telephone exchange.
