Façade maintenance at UTS Building 5D.
The University of Technology Sydney (UTS) is located alongside Sydney’s CBD. UBW has undertaken a range of projects across multiple university sites since 2020, including COVID safety installations, fit-outs, room modifications, remedial works, repairs and painting.
At Building 5D in Haymarket, UBW was engaged to complete cleaning and exterior painting works on a 10-metre-high façade.
Exterior painting completed over one weekend.
UBW completed Safe Work Method Statement (SWMS) and pre-start risk assessments before commencing façade painting works. Using a 33-foot diesel scissor lift to access the 10-metre-high façade, the team cleaned the exterior surface and applied two coats of Dulux exterior Weathershield paint.
All works were carried out over a single weekend.
