Fire and Rescue NSW is the State Government agency responsible for the provision of fire, rescue and hazmat services in cities and towns across NSW. With the aim to save lives and reduce the number of injuries caused by emergencies and disasters and protect the environment and minimise damage to property, including major infrastructure.

Whilst dealing with state emergencies, UBW was approached by the Area Commander and Station Officer at NSW Fire and Rescue Matraville for suggestions to achieve a fit for purpose design, where safety was paramount.

Working closely with structural engineers, UBW worked on emergency repair project and improvements to the building and structural damage caused by a truck colliding with the brick wall. Resulting in a safer outcome with the design proposed by UBW.
