Bondi Junction Railway Station features a distinctive 1970s design, expressed through its colour schemes, layout and materials. These include the bright orange glazed tile columns, tri-level station name signage, plywood ceilings and long escalators. The station design continues the earlier 1920s subway design of the city underground in a modern format. UBW was engaged to restore six of the glazed tile columns.
Our Approach
Tile restoration and regrouting to six columns.
UBW carried out heritage restoration works to six glazed tile columns at the station, including tiling and grouting. The works were delivered over a 4 week programme.
